Impact of Postal Disruption on Donations

Thank you for your support of Manitobans affected by cancer. Please see below for frequently asked questions on how the ongoing postal disruption will impact your donations this holiday season.

I’ve already sent in a donation by mail.

Your gift will make it to the Foundation however it will be delayed. Once we receive your donations, a charitable tax receipt will be issued for any mailed donations post-marked December 31, 2024 or prior.

Tax Receipts

For donations made online, your tax receipt will be emailed to you. For other types of gifts, mailed receipts will be sent out when postal service resumes. If you would like an electronic receipt in advance, please call us at 204-787-4143 or email CCMBtaxreceipts@cancercare.mb.ca.

Tribute cards

We recommend that you use the e-card option when making a tribute gift. If you select the mailed card option, it will be sent when postal service resumes.

I haven’t made a gift but would like to.

There are several ways to donate during the postal disruption:

  • Online: Visit the Ways to Give page and click on your choice of donation type.
  • By phone: Call the Foundation at 204-787-4143.
  • In-person: Visit the Foundation office at 675 McDermot Ave inside the CancerCare Manitoba building.

The Foundation office and phone lines are open Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
