Hi, my name is Sarah, I am a goalie and I want to make a difference!
Over the past three years I have been fundraising for Pediatric Cancer
research at CancerCare Manitoba. Using my role as a goalie I started on a journey to help boys and girls like me by raising money for cancer patients and their families.
Each year I personally donate:
$1 for each puck I let in and $5 for each shutout during regular season games.
Each year I hope to exceed the previous, but I can’t do it without your generosity. I ask that you support me in the fight against childhood cancer. Match my end of season donation or make your own personal contribution.
The funds raised for pediatric research help CancerCare Manitoba’s pediatric clinical trials taking place which truly are saving lives. Donations will enable CCMF to fund nearly 50% of the trials available for participation in Manitoba.
Follow me on Twitter to track my stats throughout the year, like and retweet my Tweets, Like my Facebook page and share my story with others.
Everyone is touched by cancer, I’m one 13 year old girl, imagine what our willingness and compassion can accomplish together.
Stop by and pick up a 2020 Winnipeg Police Canine Calendar. Proceeds to be donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
The Bisons will be holding Shoot for the Cure on Friday November 1st during the home opener for the Women’s Basketball Team. Shoot for the Cure is a national fundraiser conducted by the universities competing with U SPORTS. The Bisons will be selling pink basketballs and collecting donations for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
Through Female Hockey Fights Cancer we are committed to making a difference! Eleven teams are very proud to be fundraising and we are asking for your support in helping us reach our goals.
Over 250 players are committing their time and combining their efforts, in the hope that one day through research, cures will be found for all forms of this terrible disease — a disease which will affect all of us in one way or another during our lifetime. Cures cannot be found without research, and research cannot continue without efforts like this and your generous donations.
Each year nearly 7,000 Manitobans receive a cancer diagnosis. Your support helps CancerCare Manitoba and its partners prepare for an estimated 50 per cent increase in the number of people diagnosed and living with cancer over the next decade.
By supporting our teams and players with a donation, you are helping to support CancerCare Manitoba in its work to change lives and the course of cancer in our province.
Every donation – no matter the size – is critical as we work together to stay ahead of this disease. Our grateful thanks for your consideration.
