From now until June 12th, 2010, women and men of all ages will share a common goal of raising funds (a minimum of $1,000), awareness and, most importantly, taking an active role in their physical health and reducing their risk of cancer.

The 2010 Challenge Walk begins and ends at Assiniboine Park. The route takes us through some of Winnipeg's most beautiful neighborhoods.

I want to walk - how do I get started?

A Walker commits to setting two goals:

1. Raise $1,000 for CancerCare Manitoba

We're here every step of the way! The Challenge Team is here to help you with goalsetting, fundraising, or training for the Challenge. We provide all Challengers with donation forms, fundraising tips, website user guides, a discussion forum and their own personal webpage.

2. Reduce Your Risk!

Your Challenge Card provides you with a discount on healthy food and products, free offers of health classes and more discounts and special offers from our healthy living partners. Challenge Card Benefits

Who can participate? Is there a minimum age?

Anyone can take the Challenge - men, women, boys and girls of all ages.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian who is registered in the walk.

How do I register?

Register online or call 927-LIFE (5433). The registration fee is $25. During the registration process, you can choose to join as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team.

What if I can’t walk that far?

If you are unable to continue walking while out on the route, one of our event vehicles will transport you to the next checkstop or take you where you can rest and receive medical attention if required. Your safety is always our first concern.

What if I'm unable to participate on Challenge Day?

If you are unable to participate on June 12th, your registration is non-refundable. Donations cannot be refunded, as they have already been tax-receipted.
